Nadja Auermann

Nadja Auermann by Pamela Hanson.

Nadja is a German model and actress.

A New York Times fashion columnist, Guy Trebay, wrote of her “ice maiden visage and pole vaulter’s legs”.  She once held the record for being the model with the longest legs in the world in the Guinness Book of Records.

Throughout her career, Auermann worked with numerous well-renowned photographers. The list includes Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, Mario Testino, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Irving Penn, Herb Ritts, Craig McDean, Steven Klein, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Mario Sorrenti, Ellen von Unwerth,Paolo Roversi, Juergen Teller and Peter Lindbergh, who reckoned her as his muse. Kate Moss

Kate Moss by Mario Testino.

It seems Kate has a thing for people involved with music.

Moss has a daughter, with Dazed & Confused editor Jefferson Hack, with whom she was in a relationship for several years in the early 2000s.

Moss had a relationship with Libertines member Pete Doherty but they split in 2007.

Moss married Jamie Hince, guitarist of The Kills in 2011. (Source)

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet by Mario Testino.

Winslet is the recipient of an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, four Golden Globe Awards, a Grammy Award, an AACTA Award, and three BAFTA Awards.

She is the youngest person to receive six Academy Award nominations with seven nominations in total, and is one of the few actresses to win three of the four major American entertainment awards (EGOT).

In addition, she has won awards from the Screen Actors Guild, British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association among others, and an Honorary César Award in 2012. (Read more)

She has performed in many great films and some of my favourites. No, I am not a Titanic fan so please do not jump to conclusions.

Winslet effortlessly moves between accents and gives brilliant performances. The Reader, The Dressmaker (funny & sad), Heavenly Creatures, The Holiday and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Investigate her work.

Mario Testino 1998.

Mario is not only famous for his photographic skills but also for his sayings.

“Charm, I think, is education, really, no? I was educated to be nice to everybody. If you want to be rude and mean, I’m sure your life isn’t that nice.”

“Fine artists reflect, and then they act. Fashion photographers – we act, and then we reflect.”

Many people assume Mario is Italian. Not so. He is Peruvian and has a foundation in Peru for young artists.
His work has featured internationally in magazines such as Vogue, V Magazine, Vanity Fair and GQ.  (Read more)
