It seems jodhpurs are now worn as a fashion statement. Dangerous if you do not possess the body to give such a cruelly designed garment a favourable definition.

I love to ride but jodhpurs are not for me. The wearer needs height, long legs and a taut rear. It is no wonder, I suppose, jodhpurs have taken on fetish status.

A dear friend of mine declares you ride in jodhpurs, change and go home. Do not wear jodhpurs out, she preaches, as they are hobby clothes. Would you wear your wetsuit out if you were a hobby diver?
There is a strange logic to that, I suppose. However, good fashion breaks rules.

Now, if I could only grow an extra foot or so…
